The AFO Certification course is designed specifically to meet the needs of those working in public, hotel, condo, semi-public and municipal pool or waterpark facilities. The course will provide information and training for both supervisory and operations personnel. The course includes an additional 2 hour section that is specific to the study of the Florida State Health Code 64E-9FAC and your facility. Students will learn to recognize important aspects of this code and how it applies to their facility’s swimming pool. The course features NRPA’s Aquatic Facility operator manual, one of the newest, most complete, and most comprehensive publications available on pool operations. The manual undergoes revision every three years to keep current with changing technology. Author Kent G. Williams, using wit and his 20-plus years of experience, clearly leads even the beginning pool manager through the often complex process in aquatic operations. Upon successful completion of the AFO course and the 50 question exam, participants will be officially certified by the National Recreation and Park Association. All certified individuals reveice a certificate suitable for framing and registry in the National AFO Certification Database. Certification is valid for five years and must be renewed. Licensed Community Association Managers successfully completing this course will be awarded 18 hours of continuing education credits, Florida Recreation and Park association members successfully completing this course will be awarded 1.5 Continuing Education Units.
